  • My Life

On a random day, at the age of eight, I walked into my Primary School and it was “Andrew’s turn” to have lessons from my then teacher Malcolm Moore. Since then it has been an incredible journey and I’m still continuing this adventure.

Studying with Jennifer and David Murray from 16, at aged 18 I did my first concerto performance and also partaking in an audition for the Royal Northern College of Music.

I completed my Bachelor of Music with Honours in 2018 with Chris Swann, Lynsey Marsh and Antonio Salguero, and now I am studying a Master of Music in Performance.

I enjoy every aspect of performing, in which I have vast experience in, as well teaching. I am a teacher at Yorkshire Young Musician in Hull, in which I teach clarinet, chamber music and theory.

Most notable performances have been with the RNCM and upcoming concerts include playing 2nd Clarinet in Mahler 5 in the Spring of 2019, and more recently Daphnis and Chloe at the Bridgewater Hall.

Other orchestras include: Amadeus Orchestra 2017 and a tour of China at Christmas in the same year.

Just recently, I have played 3 concerts with the Manchester Concert Orchestra playing a vast majority of pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite to John Williams!

I am also a part of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment (4Lancs) where I have played Weber’s Concertino in Liverpool.
